Local Law 11 of 1993 (remedies expanded by bias-related harassment or violence)

NYC Human Rights Law

Law permitted individuals to bring administrative complaint or court action when victimized by bias-related violence or harassment (City Human Rights Law had previously limited cause of action to the City’s Law Department). Conduct of police officers excluded.
